Manuka

Well renowned for the honey we can extract from the flowers, the Leptospermum Scoparium aka Manuka or tea tree is a hardy schrubs that grows in Australia and New Zealand.  
The manuka schrub is the ideal native plant for dry and rocky soil. Bees and insects attractive. 
Exposure: full sun to light shade. 
Drainage: prefer moist soil when growing but once establish will tolerate dryer conditions. 
Flowering: from October to December
